About the Project

The Blood Donor Management System is a web-based application developed using PHP, CSS, Bootstrap, and JavaScript. It centralizes the management process, enabling admins to handle donor and campaign records effortlessly. The project prioritizes usability, ensuring that users can navigate and perform essential functions without technical difficulties.

This system focuses on the admin interface, which is the primary control hub. Admins can create, read, update, and delete (CRUD) records related to donors and campaigns.

1. Donor Management:
   • Add new donor details, including:
     • Full Name
     • Gender
     • Date of Birth
     • Weight
     • Contact Number
     • Blood Type
   • Edit and delete existing donor records.
2. Blood Campaign Management:
   • Add campaign details such as:
     • Campaign Name
     • Organizer Name
     • Date and Location
     • Short Description
   • View and manage campaign records.
3. User-Friendly Design:
   • Intuitive layout using Bootstrap ensures a seamless experience for users.
   • Simplified navigation and operation for quick task execution.
4. Database Management:
   • Stores all donor and campaign data in a structured and accessible manner.

How to Set Up the System

To run this project locally, ensure you have XAMPP or a similar virtual server installed on your machine. Follow these steps:

1. Extract and Set Up Files

• Download the project’s zip file and extract it.
• Copy the extracted folder to xampp/htdocs/.

2. Configure the Database

• Start Apache and MySQL in XAMPP.
• Open your browser and go to http://localhost/phpmyadmin/.
• Create a database named sangamdb.
• Navigate to the Import tab, select the sangamdb.sql file located in the project’s DATABASE folder, and click Go.

3. Launch the Application

• Open your browser and go to http://localhost/simpleblooddonor/.
• The system will now be accessible and ready for use.
