PHP, CSS, JavaScript, and Bootstrap were used in the development of this hotel and tourism reservation project. It is designed to be simple yet effective, catering to both users and administrators in an intuitive way. The system provides features that allow users to easily search and book rooms, as well as reserve tour packages. On the other hand, the admin side ensures that hotel staff can manage reservations, add or modify rooms, tours, and even schedule events.

• Room Booking: Users can search for available rooms, select their preferred rooms, and make reservations based on their chosen dates.
• Tour Reservations: The system also allows users to book tours or travel packages that suit their interests and requirements.
• Easy Navigation: The user interface is clean and simple, ensuring that even first-time users can navigate the system with ease.
• Admin Side:
• Reservation Management: Admins can view all user bookings, manage reservations, and track the status of each booking.
• Room & Tour Management: The admin has the ability to add, modify, or delete rooms, tours, and event details as required.
• Reporting Tools: Admins can access reports on all bookings, helping to monitor the hotel’s or tourism business’s performance and make informed decisions.

System Design:

The system’s design is minimalistic and user-centric. It employs Bootstrap for a responsive and mobile-friendly layout, ensuring that users can easily interact with the system on both desktop and mobile devices. Though it offers basic functionality, the simplicity of the design means users can easily make reservations and manage bookings without feeling overwhelmed by complicated features.

How To Run The Project?

To run this Hotel and Tourism Reservation System on your local machine, you’ll need to have XAMPP (or a similar local server) installed. Follow these steps to get started:

1. Download and Extract Files:

• First, download the source code for the project and extract the zip file.

1. Move Project Files to XAMPP:

• Copy the extracted project folder.
• Paste it into the xampp/htdocs/ directory.

1. Set Up Database:

• Open your browser and go to http://localhost/phpmyadmin/.
• Click on the Databases tab and create a new database named hotel_db.
• Next, click on the Import tab, select the file hotel_db (1).sql from the extracted project folder (located inside the ht folder), and click Go to import the database.

• Now that your database is set up, go to http://localhost/ht/ to access the user side of the system.
• To access the admin page, go to http://localhost/ht/admin.
