🎯 Project Objective

• To provide an online platform where users can log FIRs easily.
• To allow complainants to track updates regarding their filed cases.
• To enable Headquarters to monitor all active and resolved cases.
• To promote transparency in law enforcement processes.
• To minimize bribery and manual delays in the system.

🧭 Modules Overview

This system is divided into four major role-based modules, each with defined responsibilities:

1. User / Complainant Module

• File FIRs online.
• View case history and updates in real-time.
• Can log multiple FIRs.

2. HQ (Head Quarter) Module

• Monitor all cases across different locations.
• Add or delete police stations.
• Assign login credentials to Police In-charge.

3. Police In-charge Module

• View all cases under their jurisdiction.
• Add police officers for the area.
• Assign cases to individual police officers.
• Provide login access to police staff.

4. Police Module

• View only those cases assigned by the In-charge.
• Update case status (Pending / Completed).
• Close the case and file the charge-sheet.

📁 Project Structure & Database

• The project includes a complete PHP front-end and MySQL database (crime_portal.sql).

💻 How to Run the Project

1. Install XAMPP or WAMP on your system.
2. Place the project folder in the htdocs directory.
3. Import the database crime_portal.sql from the /DB/ directory into phpMyAdmin.
